All payments and subscriptions are processed securely by Apple via StoreKit 2 in the App Store. We do not collect or store payment details (e.g., card numbers)—Apple handles billing, refunds, and compliance. Data shared with Apple includes transaction info for verification only. For details, see Apple's policy above. Australian users: GST is added automatically by Apple.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (DNT) feature. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.

Australia and New Zealand

We collect and process your personal information under the obligations and conditions set by Australia's Privacy Act 1988 and New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to request access to or correction of your personal information at any time.

15. AI PROCESSING OF USER ENTRIES

We process your diary entries (text/images) with AI to generate mood analyses, summaries, or chat responses using your content as context. This may involve inferences for personalization. We do not store inferences long-term unless you save them.

16. CRITICAL CONTENT RETENTION

For safety, we retain flagged critical content (e.g., indicators of self-harm or suicidal thoughts in entries/chats) for up to 12 months post-deletion, anonymized where possible. This enables potential follow-up or legal reporting. You can request review/deletion via privacy@trydiaryai.com.

17. MARKETING OPT-IN AND PREFERENCES

If you opt-in during signup or settings, we send occasional marketing emails. Withdraw consent anytime by emailing privacy@trydiaryai.com—requests are processed within 48 hours. We do not send SMS marketing.

18. USER CONTROLS FOR SENSITIVE DATA

Request access/edit/delete of entries or inferences via in-app Settings or email privacy@trydiaryai.com. Responses are provided within 30 days.

19. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
